The FDA has given its approval to only two products for hair loss prevention, and both of them have actually caused hair to grow in many instances. They are Rogaine (with minoxidil, the active agent in Rogaine). Previously it was only available by prescription, but at this point it is possible to purchase it over the counter. It comes in a two percent or five percent minoxidil content solution.

Ben dug up another bit of reinforcing information. Hypoxia is the diminished availability of oxygen to body tissues. He learned that hypoxia and aging cause similar declines in metabolism, such as decreased mental capacities. If he could bring more oxygen to his tissues by exercising, he might forestall mental function decline. Death in itself does not disturb him. Losing his “marbles” does! Continue reading »
