Feelings not dealt with will often result in nightmares, flashbacks, intrusive memories and unrest in being in situations that are a reminder of the original trauma. Traumatic events in life happen without warning. Lives are turned upside down in an irreversible disastrous moment. From that moment on comes the critical journey of healing.
Trauma refers to situations in which one is rendered powerless and great danger is involved. Any event that overtakes a human being’s ability to cope can leave its victim in a state of shock. There are expected losses in life such as death or loss of a job. A true example of trauma would be the loss of several family members or friends in an accident or a natural disaster.
